Pond Camera Plans

It has been an adventure setting up my first Webpage Camera. Was a learning process. Started with buying a Solar Powered Wifi Camera but did not realize that Solar Cameras, to save power, only activate upon detecting motion. Found an IP Camera made by Jidetech on Amazon and bought the Power over Ethernet (PoE) injector. The PoE injector sends the power the camera needs over the Internet Connection and, by doing so, eliminates an electrical outlet nearby the camera. Wanted to do it all for just the cost of the equipment but couldn’t get my ATT router to actually allow the camera transmission through the firewall. Found the Ivideon solution that allowed me to create a server on my backup computer that streams to their servers and allows the camera to be displayed on the Webpage.

The plan is to run some wire rope from the house over to the pond via a couple of trees and then run the Ethernet Cable attaching it to the wire rope to get the camera closer to the Pond with a much better view.

The Pond will need to fill before the Contractor wanted to address the tree removal between the house and the pond. Plan there is to stump the trees to leave root systems to hold the soil. Hope he has a stump grinder and can create a shelf near the bottom of the hill as a last chance save just in case something (with me in it or on it) slides down the fairly steep hill in back.
